Can't sleep

Once again I find myself in a quiet apartment with everyone else sleeping, and I am unable to go to sleep. So I thought I would start a new little project on my blog. Well the project is the project of many other people, and the end goal is to lose weight (50 pounds to be exact). I got my wake up call a couple days ago when I was looking at The Biggest Loser website. Well according to their calculations I am OBESE! And man did my heart just drop when I read that. I have really let myself go! I blame it on my pregnant mind thinking that hey I can eat whatever I want, I am after all eating for two (haha good one). And that is where most of this pesky weight has come from. And I have started and stopped so many times in the last year, I start to lose weight and then something seems to stop me. But now I want to change this, so I thought if I had a place to jot down my goals and have a public place that others could potentially see my work it would keep me going.
So here it goes I am 5'1" and I weigh 175 pounds. I don't want my picture taken and swimsuits scare me! I try to stay away from public activities because I am embarrassed and I don't want to run into anyone that I know because what would they think of me. I know I should be more confident but its hard when you don't look the way you want. My goal is to lose 50 pounds which is no small task but I have lost weight before so I can do it again. Just through working out and eating better I know I can lose this weight and have a happier healthier life.
Well if anyone is reading this I hope you follow along with me through out the next months and maybe keep me accountable!

Just keep smiling!

Paisley's first trip to the zoo, crawling, and play dates :)

On Monday we made our way to the Oregon Zoo for P's first time :).
So here comes the pictures (momma's a little camera happy).
Here's Miss P eating lunch before we went into the zoo, and she loves peas like her daddy (I am not a fan). Oh man look at that face oh my little cutie.

Here's mister bear sunning himself on the rock, did I mention it was in the 70's what a great day to go to the zoo!
I really think this was Paisley's two favorite parts, the water she could put her hands in and the big fishies.

Looking at the polar bears with daddy, don't they look thrilled :)

This huge polar bear came running out of his little back enclosure, grabbed his food dish, threw it in the water, and then jumped in after it. He then started putting the traffic cone on his head it was pretty entertaining, and we beat the crowd to it so we got a front row seat.
Ok so I don't know if anyone remembers but last year when Keith and I went to the zoo I got a picture of my pregnant self in front of this same poster and now I've got one with my baby on the outside.
Look how happy she is! I didn't think she would make it through the whole zoo but she did (and the zoo is not small).
That grin gets me every time!

 Here Kitty kitty!
Hungry Hungry Hippos

And in other news :)
Well Miss P gets very bored of all her old toys so we have to mix it up. Cooking utensils like measuring cups and rubber scrappers are great!

Well she's a little mobile baby now, watch out kitty cats.

Hello Jack Jack

Who needs a dog to clean up when you have a Jack Jack! He eats a lot of what Paisley drops when she eats.
This was before we added a phone book for her to sit on, the high chair is just a little big.
Hello- I see you!

Ah Kisses from Daddy!
The cats still don't quite realize that she can move to get them now. But she always works hard to get to the cats, she loves them!

 Hello Sissy

Crawling to the window!
 Hey Mom!
This is one of Keith's co-workers daughter. I think she looks like a little cabbage patch doll. She is absolutely adorable!

 Look at those chubby cheeks!

Well I hope everyone has a good day!

Cabin time and hanging at GG's.

Last week we got to go and visit a cabin that a family friend owns. It was really nice and just right up Provo Canyon, which is not a long drive from my parents house (which was good cause my mom and I took Paisley back home so she could sleep in her own bed, and then we came back in the morning). We had a lot of fun playing games and catching up with old friends.
Miss Paisley's room was in the closet, it made me think of Harry Potter. She's napping here, but we went home at night things were just a little to loud and roudy for her to get to sleep.
Miss P playing in her walker at the cabin
This is Sam, he belonged to a family that owned a cabin near where we were staying but he spent a lot of time on the porch. He was such a nice dog.
Well now we are at GG's and Miss P is having a lot of fun with her Grandparents and Aunt and Uncles (and Great-Grandparents). She is so very close to crawling, she'll get up on her hands and knees and rock a little. So now starts the baby proofing (well when we get home). The most exciting thing to happen this week is we went to get sushi. This was my first time trying sushi and I must say I am a fan (and of course Miss P did not get to partake). If you live in Utah County you need to try Koi they have a big selection of sushi and the service is great! My favorite was the temple roll. Its been a lot of fun hanging with the family but we also miss Keith who had to go back to Oregon for work (Thanks for making the money honey!).
Paisley found Auntie Kessa's Lilo Doll, whenever she sees it she gets a big huge grin on her face.

On Sunday GG curled Paisley's hair for church. Her outfit was really cute too she had a zebra print dress on and bright pink leggings, my little Fashionista!

Who needs a toy when you have a Cheerio box?

I put her swim diaper cover on her head- I thought it looked like a shower cap :)

Outside while i was throwing the ball for Reese. She is such a cheerful little thing and she loves being outside!

Reese fell asleep on the couch sitting almost human-like, what a silly dog!

After bathtime last night, doesn't she look all squeaky clean

I went in to check on Paisley last night and I found this. She was smooshed up against the side of the portacrib. Well whatever is comfortable for her :)

She's such a pro drinking her bottle and playing with a toy at the same time. My little multi-tasker

Have a great day!
