Doctors and printers :)

Well yesterday we went to see the doctor. Our little miss has now passed her birth weight. She now weighs 9 pounds 6 ounces and is 22 inches long. She really has grown so much in 2 weeks, it blows my mind. I really love our doctor too. He listened to all of our questions and answered all of them, and he's such a happy soul! He made me feel like I am doing a good job as her mommy.

And today- we have finally found a place to print my cards! I am so excited! And they were so helpful giving us ideas, I still have some stuff to figure out but I will be selling my cards soon.

What designs should I print first? Any ideas, thoughts, comments?

Napping with daddy

Our little miss loves to nap with daddy (who is thankfully feeling much much better today). She must be growing right now because she is sleeping a lot, yesterday she slept most of the day and only woke up to eat.

Oh joy

Daddy woke up with a terrible cold today, and now I am cleaning like a mad women so My little Miss hopefully won't catch it! I feel like a germafobe carrying around a can of lysol spraying down everything that Keith touches. I really really REALLY don't want the little one to get sick, especially after the day of screaming we had yesterday.

I must say though- making it through yesterday was really a huge confidence boost! I feel like I have gotten over the stupid baby blues and can now more fully enjoy my time as a mom. If I could make it through one day why not another? Although I am very thankful Miss P does not scream all the time.

Well thats about it for today- fingers crossed Little Miss doesn't get sick.

Mini me

Yesterday Keith was looking at some pictures, and we came across this baby picture of me. It's crazy how similar she looks to me! I have my own little mini me :). I wonder if she will keep looking like me as she grows up. But no worries world she does look a lot like Keith too. Yesterday Keith made a face that Miss P makes all the time! It was really cool.

Well today started out kind of rocky. Miss P was just having a bad morning, and she was really really angry about something. I have never heard a baby cry that hard. And as she was screaming Keith had to leave for work. I have never wished that hard that Keith could work from home. But thankfully- soon after Keith left- she calmed down after I fed her. She must have just been super hungry, my growing girl. And now the washing machine is keeping her calm and sleeping. Thank goodness.

Sweet dreams Miss P!

2 weeks!

Miss P has now been with us for 2 whole weeks, and let me just say they have not been the easiest but they definitely have been rewarding.

Today has actually been a pretty quiet day. It's amazing what a good nights sleep can do! Its just been an over all good day, and Keith was able to stay home today which is really a huge help and blessing as well. Its so much fun watching Keith as he helps me take care of Miss P. He's so great with her and not afraid to jump into the action. I really could not ask for a better person to raise a family with.

Oh man, on a totally random note, I can't wait until fall! I am kind of sick of the warm weather, and Miss P does not enjoy the warm weather either. So it will be nice when it starts to cool down again. Although one thing I didn't think of is winter means more sickness, and now that I'm a mom I will have to really try to keep the icky bugs at bay (well for as long as I can). That will definitely be a new not so exciting experience dealing with a sick baby, but I guess it comes with the territory. No use worrying about it now. :)

2 weeks!

Well I need to introduce the newest Lutes!

Little Miss P was born July 24 by c-section. She was 8 pounds 14 ounces.

And now it has almost been 2 weeks and I can't believe its gone so fast. Things have finally started calming down and routine is starting to form :). Things were a bit hard after GG and Grandpa left, but I am glad to report that its been 3 days and everyone is still alive. One little hiccup, Miss P was having trouble pooping, but happy to say everything came out this morning. I have never been so excited to see a poopy diaper, I actually cheered, then proceeded to dry heave as I changed her (me and my iron stomach, brings to mind when I threw up when my dad made the mistake of letting me see my poop). And now after two full diapers she can finally calm down, which is a nice break from yesterday and the poor backed up girl. Now hopefully things stay regular :).

Well here's a new goal that I have. I want to post something on my blog every day (that I can). I really think it will be a great way to get my thoughts out, and I want to document a little about my precious pineapple too.

36 weeks and 4 days :)

Man I can't believe we're already 36 weeks! We are getting so excited for her to come-- we can hardly wait!!

Update-- that's way overdue :)

Well here's an update (since I haven't really posted anything since January).

Keith is almost done with his first year at Marylhurst. He has really enjoyed it so far, but it will be nice for him to have a break (especially with the little one coming). I am still attending the Art Institute online, and I am really enjoying it. Although I am looking forward to the three months break I get once Paisley is here.

On the pregnancy front-- I am as huge as ever, everywhere!! We have 6 more weeks left, and I can't wait to see my baby and to not be pregnant :).

So that's about it... not much has really been happening here.

I made a collage of all the pictures from our 2010 year. Keith pointed out that I put some images that are from the year before but I guess its also a collage of our first year together. I would really like to do this every year. Next year it's going to be filled completely full of baby pictures- I'M SO EXCITED!!!

Ultrasound pictures of our little Gummy Bear

This is the very first ultrasound that we got to see how far along I was. I was 8 weeks and 3 days along. We think the little baby looks like a gummy bear, a nickname we have been calling it since then. It's crazy just how small it is right here. And then just 3 weeks later....

The doctor did another quick ultrasound at our last visit because the baby was hiding from us. We could see the little heart beating away. And if you look closely you can see the face and the little arm. Keith thought it looked like Gummy Bear was saluting us :). It's so fun to be able to see the little baby growing inside me!

I'm going to be a mommy!

Well I know I have been neglecting my blog lately, I just really have had nothing to talk about until now! I am 11 almost 12 weeks pregnant! Both Keith and I are so excited to be parents in 6 months (the baby is due July 23). I haven't been very sick, just a little bit right before I go to bed, so thank goodness for that! Well I'll post more later!
